THE CIRCLE OF TRUST (Performance Art)

The Circle of Trust installation is a curated space for self-care and reconnecting to ancient global healing and performative methodologies. The goal of The Circle of Trust is to be a meditative and reconciliatory space where participants can cry, laugh, shout, or react however they see fit without judgement or any other impediments to true freedom from the varying degrees of aggression, oppression, and suppression People of Color are faced with across the West. It is a space for recognition, rest and recharging. The circle itself will be created from candles, healing herbs, scents, crystals, and other ephemera that will allow participants to fully engage their senses and restore balance to their spirits. The performative and ritual aspect of the experience will be executed by local healers and artists from across the African Diaspora who are focused on creating transformation through their practice - whether sound healing, dance, or voice. Ultimately, time in the Circle will renew the spirit and focus of participants in the perilous times we are living in.
